Mauritius officially removed from the EU blacklist

Category Finance

As per the publication in the Official Journal of the European Union ("EU") on 21 February 2022, we are pleased to announce that the EU has confirmed the removal of Mauritius from its list of high-risk third countries ("EU Blacklist"). The regulation will come into effect on the twentieth day following the publication date.

The removal of Mauritius from the EU Blacklist showcases the relentless dedication to adhere to international standards of compliance. It also brings positive news towards further cementing the position of Mauritius as the International Financial Centre of choice for the African region.
